Oh wait, have I mentioned that I’ve decided it’s about time I get off my ass and do something productive with my free time (you know that time at night when real people are sleeping.) and get my degree??

So, about a month ago I contacted the University of Phoenix (online) about enrolling. Well, I did it! For the last 2 weeks I have been attending my first 2 (of many) classes online. In those 2 weeks, I am pleased to report….not only have I not dropped out, but I’m also pulling perfect scores on all of my assigned material.

But seriously……why did I think now was such a good time in my life to attempt to conquer the task at hand? There are all kinds of obstacles in my way…..huge billboards that say…..you have A LOT on your plate already, how the hell are you going to do this??? Where to begin—-how about the fact that summer is fast approaching and I have 3 kids who are going to want to enjoy it! Did I mention that of those 3 kids, one of them is only 14 months old and requires constant supervision and attention?? Or how about a daughter who is involved in soccer this year and plays 2 nights a week. Oh yeah, and a 10 year old son who also plays baseball 2 nights a week. And…..and not only are they both in a sport that they play 2 nights a week…..but they play on the same damn nights and 9 times out of 10 @ the same damn time! But I don’t want to forget that the oldest 2 are also enrolled in summer school so add in the time for transporting them to and from summer school 5 days week for 6 weeks. Then I have to schedule some family time in there as well along with me time, time to relax and hubby time. After all is said and done it doesn’t leave me with a lot of extra time to communicate in online forums for school, doing homework, studying and researching…..but somehow I will find the time!!!! It will be worth it!! When I am finally done with school (2 years from now) I will be able to announce that I have earned an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology & Web Development—-l Lord only knows what I will do with that!

So—call me crazy—-but I think I can actually do this!

Anyone else doing the same???

This past weekend, Zman went to visit his dad (Fri-Sun).  Usually when he comes home he needs a slight attitude adjustment, but never more than that.  Apparently this weekend he decided he was going to be a little more difficult than usual upon his return.

(Side note: He did send me a text Saturday night telling me his leg hurt because his 1/2 brother (his dad’s other spawn) shot him in the leg with an air soft gun — MY REACTION — NOT HAPPY!)

Anyways – upon his return Sunday afternoon, there was quite a bit of attitude present.  I simply asked him to take the attitude to baseball practice with him and make sure that it did not return to my home.  Unfortunately —– it did—- tenfold!

It started with the refusal to eat the dinner I had made of Tuna Noodle Salad (House Rule: You eat what you are given).

It continued with the I DON’T CARE blah blah blah

It escalated to the I HATE YOU!

It became GET READY FOR BED AND GOODNIGHT & YOU ARE GROUNDED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THIS WEEK.

The Hardworking Hubby drove Zman to school this morning (part of his punishment was not being able to ride the bus with his cousins and friends).

When Zman returned from school, he was quite cooperative and understood that he has been placed on restriction til Friday.

He gladly did his homework and started his list of chores for the week.

The attitude has been adjusted.

It is not welcome to return to my home!   attitude

That is how I will define my day!

I am exhausted!

All classwork for 2 classes is completed for the week!

Baseball for 2 hours and soccer for 1 hour in the cold.

(Taking care of crabby baby during above events)

Office/Den rearranged; have to finish cleaning up.

Wordless Wednesday already scheduled to post.

That is all I have to say tonight other than

Goodnight!

Our new busy family schedule that is!

This signifies that Summer is fast approaching.

Starting tonight the Hardworking Hubby & I will begin the summer regimen that is- baseball for Zman and soccer for the Drama Queen. Yup, soccer and baseball both on the same nights of the week at practically the same time in totally different places!

Tell me again why I agreed to this??

I am officially a soccer mom.

Not quite sure how that makes me feel.

And that is all I have to say about that – for now…..
