It’s hard to believe the the action-packed family film franchise, Spy Kids, is releasing it’s 4 film. I remember sitting down with Zman and the DramaQueen to watch the first one back in 2001. Since the first film made its debut, we have seen them all.

Spy Kids: All The Time In The World features a star filled cast including Jessica Alba, Joel McHale, Ricky Gervais, Jeremy Piven, Danny Trejo, Rowan Blanchard, and newcomer Mason Cook along with long-standing cast members Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara who have both appeared in all of the Spy Kids films.

In Spy Kids: All The Time In Th World, Marissa Cortez Wilson (Jessica Alba) has it all: married to a famous spy-hunting television reporter (Joel McHale), with a new baby and intelligent twin step kids, Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil (Mason Cook). When the maniacal Timekeeper (Jeremy Piven) disrupts her domestic bliss—threatening to take over the planet—Marissa comes out of retirement as a top secret agent. With Armageddon quickly approaching, Rebecca and Cecil are thrust into action! With a little help from some familiar Spy Kids friends, Carmen (Alexa Vega), Juni (Daryl Sabara), their faithful dog Argonaut (Ricky Gervais) and some mind-blowing gadgets, they just may be able to save the world!

The SPY KIDS: ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD Blu-ray™ and DVD bonus features include an
interview with director Robert Rodriguez; a “Spy Kids Passing the Torch” featurette; a “Spy Gadgets”
clip; deleted scenes; and more! .

We just watched this film for the 2nd time today and the little dude is seriously hooked. He is convinced that he is a Spy Kid!

This was definitely another film from the Spy Kids franchise that did not disappoint!

Here is a quick trailer of the film!

Here are some great downloadable activities and recipes for you to have a great Spy Kids family movie night!

Create Your Family’s Time Capsule

TIME CAPSULE CREATION TIPS
   Choose a Milestone
The creation of a Time Capsule is much more fun when there’s something to celebrate! Select a special day for the ‘burial’ of your Time Capsule. Maybe it’s a milestone birthday, holiday, or a special date on the school-year calendar. The more memorable the event, the easier it is to track the passage of time.
     Collect Your Artifacts
Deciding what items to store in your Time Capsule can be tricky. Remember, the items you choose will be unavailable for day-to-day use! Good options include: a school assignment that you are exceptionally proud of; a stuffed animal or toy that you have recently out-grown, but still holds special meaning; a souvenir from a favorite trip like a keychain or magnet.
     Create an Inventory List
You’ll want to not only list the items you are including in your Time Capsule, but why you have included them. What makes each item special, and how does it represent your accomplishments, preferences, or interests at the time. This can be a couple of sentences, or even a short journal entry for a fun reflection upon retrieval of your Time Capsule!
     Contain Your Items
Your artifacts and memorabilia should be protected in an appropriate container. Choose something that can preserve against insect invasion and animal exploration. Often, a shoebox, coffee can, or reusable plastic container will do the trick. Just be sure seal with  strong tape around the lid to ensure maximum security!
     Clock Your Timeline
It is recommended that the Time Capsule stay sealed for at least one full year from the date of ‘burial.’ However, the more time that you can let pass, the more fun a trip down memory lane can be when you finally open your capsule. Just don’t forget about it – mark  a calendar with your unearthing date!
     Conceal Your Capsule
Traditionally, Time Capsules are buried in the ground outside. If that option isn’t available, parents are often good at finding some secret or out-of-the-way spots for your Time Capsule to live where it won’t be seen or disturbed until the unearthing date.                                Wherever you decide to put it, make sure at least 2 people know where it is located so it is not lost.
     Countdown and Retrieve
Make an event out of opening your Time Capsule! Prepare a special meal with your family, or invite some friends over to commemorate the time that has passed. Sharing your Time Capsule’s items and inventory is a fun way to celebrate your growth in life.

5-1
I have to keep saying this to myself.
Fifty-one.
This is the age I will be when Baby Bean graduates from high school.
Yes, fifty-one.
How did this happen?
I am having a very hard time digesting this.
When I first became a mom back in 1999 I had things all figured out.
I was going to get to be a mom and by the time my kid graduated from high school I would only be 38 and I’d have my entire life ahead of me still.
And then, I had my second child in 2000 which meant I would be 39 when she graduated.
Then, I got pregnant, got married and had a baby in 2008.
And now, here I am in 2011, approaching my 33rd birthday and preparing for the arrival of my fourth child.
I will be 51 when she graduates from school.
The Hardworking Hubby, he’ll only be 45.
I really need to work on digesting this……

1. PLAN AHEAD!!
-This is a must! I like to plan my holiday shopping in advance to make sure I get the best deal on everything.
2. ASK FOR LISTS EARLY
-Again, another must do when shopping for others to ensure you get the item on the list and again, score the best deal on it!
3. LOOK ONLINE FOR ITEMS FIRST
-Prior to hitting any of the stores, I like to compare prices of items online. By doing this I can often get more items, score free shipping and locate a coupon/promo code to use for additional savings.
4. USE LAYAWAY IF POSSIBLE
-There are a few stores that have brought layaway back for the holidays. This is another great tool for those who need more time to pay on items.
5. DON’T BE AFRAID TO SHOP AROUND
-Again, I am a saver. I absolutely hate to overpay on anything and if I can use a coupon, I will every time!
6. HAVE THE LITTLE ONES MAKE PERSONAL/HOMEMADE GIFTS FOR GRANDPARENTS & OTHER LOVED ONES
-For me, the homemade gifts are always my favorite and the ones I will always cherish!
7. PERSONALIZE HOLIDAY CARDS
-Over the past few years, I have become a fan of sending out cards with cute family photos with a personal message on each, these are also our favorite cards to receive! I like to order our festive Christmas cards online since there are so many options available and I do it early enough in the season to ensure that I receive them early enough and get them mailed out in time!
8. PLAN YOUR MENU IN ADVANCE & CHECK YOUR SHOPPING LIST TWICE
-I remember many, many times my mom had to send someone to the store the night before a holiday or the morning of to pick up those few items that got skipped on the list.
9. KEEP A LIST OF EVERYTHING YOU BOUGHT, WHO IT IS FOR, AND WHERE YOU STASHED IT
-I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!! My mom is notorious for buying gifts early in the year and stashing them around the house, forgetting where she put them and giving them to you a week or two after the holiday!
10. SAVE THE RECEIPTS FOR EVERYTHING YOU BUY EVEN IF YOU HAVE A GIFT RECEIPT!!
-Gift receipts have a tendency to get lost, mixed up etc. It is best to keep the original receipt on hand when giving a gift in case a return or exchange needs to be made.
