Lazy Fridays

It’s Friday!

I should be happy….full of energy….

Nope. I. Just. Want. To .Go.Back.To.Bed.

I wish I had some great story or video to share with you this Friday, but unfortunately I’ve got nothing.

Okay. I might have one exciting little tidbit of information.

I got an email from Stephanie over @ MomTV last night telling me that they are giving me a brand new Vado Video Camera by Creative!

I am soooooo excited!!! Now I will have all kinds of videos to share with you on Friday’s!

Can’t wait for it to arrive!

We have had quite a busy week around the house.  The kids had their last day of school on Wednesday.  We picked them up @ 11 and went out to lunch with my BFF MooseMama and her 2 kiddos.  On the way home we made a quick stop at Dairy Queen, got the kids each a Blizzard.  Summer vacation has officially started!

That’s all I have for now.

I wish I had more to share.

Watch for my 1st weigh in with Weight Watchers tomorrow and find out how much weight I lost this past week. (Pray that the scale @ WW is as generous as the one in my bathroom!)

Have a good weekend!

Talk about a busy weekend!

My apologies for not posting a Lazy Friday….I was FAR from lazy!

On Friday, the Hardworking Hubby & I bought a new (to us) anyway minivan.

I’m super excited!

We bought a van last year from my cousin….it was far from a minivan…..here’s a pic….

005This is Frank the Tank—-my first van….

A ’95 Chevrolet Astro Van

Frank served us very well for the little over a year that we had him.

He never broke down on us and he survived our road trips.

He took us to Rhinelander for my grandmother’s funeral, to Wabeno for the 1st Annual Bacon Bacon Beef Bacon Beef Weekend and finally to Madison when he successfully hauled back a HUGE swing set for the Tatertot!  Yes, he was good to us and our family will never forget him!  (No, he didn’t die.)  I’ve wanted a new van since Tatertot upgraded to his big boy car seat.  My requests—-dual sliding doors and a CD player (Frank was rocking the cassette player).

We were on a tight budget in purchasing a new van and wanted to buy one outright (trying to get rid of debt…not create more).  I had been surfing Craigslist and various websites for weeks and finally found a local ad and called.  Thank god we did!

We purchased a 1997 Plymouth Voyager Rallye with only 132,000 miles, freshly tuned up, practically brand new tires, dual sliding doors, practically power everything, pretty clean with a cd player!!!  I LOVE IT!!!!  Here are some pics (photography by Zman):

So….Friday was spent buying a new van and going to the DMV to register it.

Friday ended with a late dinner at Old Chicago with the family and a late night trip to WalMart for a few items.

On Saturday the Hardworking Hubby, Zman & Drama Queen went fishing ( I hung out in the van with Tatertot since it was raining).

They fished until 7pm and we called it a day.

Sunday was spent at a graduation party and running a few errands.

It ended with Tatertot going to bed, Hardworking Hubby going to work and me, Zman and Drama Queen watching a movie.

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

2.5 days until the kids are done with school!

Have a great week!!!

Would somebody please tell me how it can possibly be June 1st?

It can’t be!

How did the last 5 months go by so fast?

My kids only have 7.5 days left of school. A full week this week and full days Monday & Tuesday next week followed by a 1/2 day on Wednesday.

Then they get a week off and off to summer school they go.

I let them take fun things in summer school.

Zman is in Ceramics & Cookies, Cookies, Cookies.

The Drama Queen is in Computer Creations & Amazing Science Experiments.

Should be a fun Summer.

I think we are also going to be enrolling the Drama Queen in Kids Camp @ Comedy City this year. (Grandma & Grandpa have generously offered to cover the cost!) It’s pretty cool!  She LOVES Comedy City! It’s a short camp—just 4 days.  In that time her and the other ‘campers’ will learn the art and skills of improvisation-things like teamwork, communication, stage presence and confidence.  The week ends with the ‘campers’ putting on a show for family and friends.

Other than that, our Summer Schedule kicks of this week!  Soccer and baseball are now both 2 nights a week and pretty much @ the same time on the same nights.  There are a few games when they are not playing at the same time, but things are going to get hectic starting Tuesday.  We have to be @ the soccer fields @ 6:30 for pictures and then the Drama Queen plays @ 7.  At another park about a mile down the road, Zman will be playing in his baseball game. This is going to happen every Tuesday & Thursday—baseball until July 14th, Soccer until July 21st!

So—back to this week.

Did I mention the Drama Queen also has 2 field trips this week?  One on Tuesday, the other on Friday.

I think that once this week is over and I’m done running errands and grocery shopping on Friday—I’m calling it quits for the weekend.  (Except that we are busy on Sunday——Grrrrrrr……….)

So this Friday, I am being REALLY lazy! (Okay so I’ve been lazy most of the week but

mostly because I felt like a big bag of poo!)

I have also had a busy week with school and still have a huge project due tonight and another

one due on Sunday.

( Needless to say, I know where I will be spending most of my weekend.)

I have no weekend question prepared or a cute little video involving one of my children.

What I do have, is an email I received from a friend this morning.

I thought it was funny!

It made me laugh. A LOT!

I wanted to share it with you.

Enjoy!

Two Young Boys

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of

tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter.

The man at the counter asked the older boy, “Son, how old are you?”

“Eight,” the boy replied.

The man continued, “do you know what these are used for?”

The boy replied, “not exactly, but they aren’t for me. They’re

for him. He’s my brother. He’s four.

We saw on TV that if you use these you would be able to swim and

ride a bike. Right now, he can’t do either.”

Hope you got a nice little chuckle out of this too!

Have a great weekend!
