The last 30 or so hours of my life have been an emotional roller coaster.
Yesterday at 3 pm, we had an ultrasound to check in on baby and make sure all is well in the womb.
Things couldn’t have been more perfect.
Our little one was happily flapping around those cute little arm buds and had a strong heartbeat.

By midnight, I was bleeding everywhere and being taken via an ambulance to the hospital.

Once in the ER I had a pelvic exam (which was BEYOND traumatizing but more on that story later).
The doctor told me that there was a lot of blood loss and my cervix was slightly dilated and told me I was having a miscarriage and there was nothing that could be done to stop it.

By 3 am they were sending me on my way home heartbroken and shattered to await the inevitable passing of the fetus that would happen over the next few days.

By 8 am when I woke up, the bleeding had stopped.
There was absolutely NO sign that anything was wrong.

As directed, I called my OB’s office when they opened at 9 am and spoke with the nurse explaining what had happened and what I was told to do.

After two more phone calls from the office and still no blood in sight, it was decided that I would come in at 2:30 for another ultrasound to see what was going on.

The results…..

WERE AWESOME!!!

There was our adorable little Bean squirming and waving those little arm buds around just as it had been doing 24 hours before.

I met with the doctor who did a follow up pelvic exam and there was zero sign of miscarriage, my cervix was NOT dilated!

We still don’t know what caused all of the bleeding or what exactly happened.
What we do know is that baby is doing great and we couldn’t be happier!

Not only did we get to see the little Bean, but we got to hear the heartbeat too! Beating strong at 175!

After experiencing all of this, I have to admit I turned to Dr. Google this morning only to discover a whole world of women online who were misdiagnosed as having a miscarriage as well and thanks to their stories I held on to the hope that our little Bean would be okay all day and was relieved to find out everything is perfect!

World, meet Bean.
Bean, meet the World!

My little Tatertot was recently given the chance to review an organic line of baby skin care products from Episencial. We were lucky enough to try out the Protective Face Balm, Playful Foaming Body Wash, Sweet Dreams Bubble Bath and the Better Body Better.
The results?
We LOVE them all!
Not only do they all smell amazing, but they are all natural and support the skin’s role in the body’s immune system.
Plus the designs on all of the packaging is beautiful because they all contain images from Eric Carle’s The Hungry Caterpillar.
Oh, and I can’t forget to mention that the Sweet Dreams Bubble Bath and all of its lavendery goodness really does make for sweet dreams!
I’m even more excited that I have 2 more reviews of Episencial products coming up in the future.
We are currently in the process of reviewing the Sunny Sunscreen and my very own Zman and I will be working together to review the Soothing Cream since we have heard nothing but great things about it as a treatment for Eczema and he has suffered from Eczema for a number of years.
So be sure to keep your eyes peeled for these future reviews. In the meantime, if you are interested in trying out the Episencial line you can purchase the products online through EcoMom.com or you can find them in retail stores such as Target. For your convenience, use the Store Locator to find a store near you!

I admit it, I am a fan of American Idol.
I loved the first season and was more than thrilled when Kelly Clarkson won.
Not only because she was a powerhouse.
It also had something to do with the fact that I couldn’t stand to look at Justin Guarini and his curly hair.
He irritated me.
Not to mention Tamyra Gray should have been by Kelly’s side during the finale.
Then during Season 2 I felt there were numerous contestants who were robbed.
Ruben Studdard did not deserve to win.
Even if he was the Velvet Teddy Bear.
It should have been Clay Aiken (based on talent) with Kimberly Locke as the runner-up.
Season 3 didn’t have anything to offer other than Simon insulting the AMAZINGNESS that is Jennifer Hudson.
She should have gone on to win the show.
Instead, we were left with Fantasia Barrino.
Granted, the girl can sing, but seriously…..JENNIFER HUDSON!
By Season 4, I was starting to lose interest.
I was sick of the oogggling over the male contestants by prepubescent girls.
But I was happy to see Carrie Underwood take the title.
America definitely got it right that year!
Then we were presented with Season 5.
Taylor Hicks.
Need I say more?
Other than Chris Daughtry—you were robbed!
Season 6 brought of the beat box styling of one Mr. Blake Lewis.
Dude had talent.
But if you ask me, LaKisha Jones should have been standing next to Jordin Sparks in the end.
And….I was never more happy than I was when Sanjaya Malakar got the boot!
Winner- Jordin Sparks.
When Season 7 auditions began airing, I picked the winner immediately.
This was the best season for me since the 1st.
After watching David Cook do Billie Jean, I was more than in love with him.
I was happy to see him win.
Season 8 made me tired.
This season I was rooting for Danny Gokey.
Adam Lambert drove me crazy with his incessant screaming.
Kris Allen was boring.
In the end, I was not pleased.
Which brings us to Season 9.
American Idol is getting boring.
This season more than any.
From the beginning we have been fans of Crystal Bowersox.
To us, she is the one we want to win.
But we also love Lee DeWyze.
I’d still prefer that Crystal win.
This is how I hope it turns out.
Either way they will both make it big.
Who do you want to win and what is your view on seasons past?? What is your favorite Idol performance over the years?

As a member of the Soft Scrub Club, I have the opportunity to review the latest and greatest products that Soft Scrub has to offer. I recently had the chance to give the new Soft Scrub Total Kitchen Cleaner a try and I have to admit, I am MIGHTY impressed.
For beginners, the Soft Scrub Total Kitchen cleaner smells absolutely amazing.
It can be used anywhere in the kitchen! I’m talking inside the microwave, on the stove top, counter tops, sinks and faucets and under the stove hood. It is also safe to use on granite, cultured marble, chromes, stainless steel, plastic laminate and tile!
Not to mention you can use it as a foam or spray.

I have to say that I am all kinds of impressed with this product and it has replaced all the others I used to purchase mainly because it smells good but it also gets the job done!
