Waiting on the xray results. Ready to go to bed. Anne54304 Not to mention, every 20 minutes it sounds like a plane is taking of in the next room. Anne54304 @MomCentralChat Just left er in an air cast and on crutches. Seeing an orthopedic doc next week Anne54304 @MomCentralChat It is his left foot. He’s hanging in there & is happy to get out of chores. I’m exhausted & praying everthing will be fine. Anne54304 @MomCentralChat They think it might be fractured but since he is still growing its hard to tell. Hoping ortho will know more. Anne54304 Happy to be home from the ER. Talk about a LONG night!

So, here’s what happened.
Zman was at Packer Training Camp last night.
As usual, he was playing football with a group of kids.
As he was running, he heard a pop and then
BOOM!
Instant pain in his foot.
He couldn’t walk on it.
He was hurting bad.
By the time I went to get him (since he NEVER called to tell me he as hurt)
He was almost in tears from the pain.
By the time we got home, he was crying.
I new it was going to be a long night so I called a friend who agreed to come sit with the other kids and we were off to the ER.
2 hours later, we were ready to leave.

Does he look happy to FINALLY be leaving the hospital?
The diagnosis:
Sprained joint with ankle fracture.
Now we are waiting to here from the Orthopedic Doc to get a follow up appointment next week to find out if it’s really fractured or not.
He still can’t put any weight on it.
Here he is today.
As for me, I’m just happy this happened at the END of Summer!
Here’s hoping he’ll be healed before school starts on the 1st.
Fingers crossed!

Crappy news! But here’s hoping for ‘just’ a sprain.
Thank you! So far things are going as well as can be. He has his appointment with the orthopedic doc on Wed.
Fingers crossed!
