Living within walking distance of Lambeau Field all my life may have had something to do with my being a Packer fan.
A little.
But the real reason I am a fan is because of the little things the Packers do.
Things like this…

You see that grin on my Zman’s face?
That’s there because of that man next to him.
DJ Clark, Corner back for the Green Bay Packers.
He is Zman’s season rider.
What does that mean?
It means every time my kid shows up at Packer practice, DJ will be riding Zman’s bike to and from the practice field.
You know why that is?
Because it’s a

Tradition.
The men who play for the Green Bay Packers have to be some of the nicest men in the history of the NFL.
They don’t just ride these kids bikes.
They actually talk to them and learn things about them.
And they REMEMBER THEM.

These men don’t push the kids or any other fans away.
They kindly stand outside the gates of Lambeau signing autographs after 2 grueling hours of practice in 90 degree heat.
It is because of these few reasons that I will ALWAYS be a Packer fan!

How fun is that!? When I lived in Indianapolis, several of the Colts players lived in our building, and they were some of the nicest guys I’ve ever met.

I think it’s great that they are so good to the kids. Packer Training Camp is something my son looks forward to all Summer long.

That’s awesome.In Seattle everyone is fair weather fans because even when the teams are bad the players don’t appreciate the fans. I’m a sounders season ticket holder (soccer) and we have the biggest following and crowds in the MLS and our players could care less. I knew I loved the Green Bay Packers.

@Lindsey, I think it is great when a team is so great with their community and fans. The Packers really couldn’t be a nicer group of guys who are always very generous when it comes to their fans.
