As I was surfing the web today, I stumbled across the page for the I_Blog Conference 2010 hosted by Jody Halsted of Iowa Geek and Family Rambling, and was immediately interested.  I_Blog’s inaugural conference was held in November 2009 in Perry, Iowa.

Let me tell you why this particular conference grabbed my attention.

1. I_Blog is a conference for the Midwest but ALL are welcome.
2. It is a smaller conference which is the perfect type to attend when you are a conference newbie.
3. It’s only 7.5 hours away from home.
4. Which makes it completely drivable for me!
5. The cost is reasonable.
6. The cost gets even better if I can find a bloggy friend to attend with me.
7. Last years sponsors included Creative Memories, Land O’ Lakes Mile, Dexter PC, and BJ Weber. With presentations given on blogging basics, tax implications of blogging, using and improving photography in blogs, the FTC rulings and their effect on bloggers, using time well, and building community with keynote speaker, Jennic Law of Kangaroo Boo.From what I read from last years attendees, the conference was a hit and everyone enjoyed themselves.This of course makes me REALLY want to go!
   But I’m looking for a few more bloggers from Wisconsin (or elsewhere) to go to and help reduce costs.
